In our conference titled "The New World Order After the US-Iran War," held by KAPDEM (Public Policy, State Administration and Societal Progress Center), we comprehensively examined the new world order likely to take shape in the aftermath of the US-Iran War, alongside the shifting global balances of power.
In an era where the global balance of power is being reshaped and the impacts of regional conflicts on the international system are becoming increasingly visible, we evaluated the dimensions of the US-Iran War—dimensions that extend far beyond the Middle East, bearing critical consequences for global politics, economics, and the international security architecture. As discussions surrounding a multipolar world intensify, we addressed the emergence of new power centers, shifting alliance networks, and the broader impacts of geopolitical fractures on the international order.
Featuring the honorable participation of Prof. Dr. Hasan Ünal, Director of the New World Research Center and Faculty Member at Başkent University, the program provided a multidimensional perspective on the search for new equilibria post-war, the future of the international system, and the reflections of great power competition on regional crises. Guided by Prof. Dr. Ünal’s comprehensive assessments, we had the opportunity to discuss the political, strategic, and security implications that the post-war era could pose for the global order.
Furthermore, the conference focused heavily on evolving alliance dynamics, the power struggle in the Middle East, the regional policies of global actors, and ongoing debates regarding the transition toward a multipolar world order. Together, we evaluated the structural fractures introduced into international relations by the US-Iran War, the pursuit of balance shaped by the rise of new power centers, and Türkiye's strategic positioning within this volatile process.
